The MIB has announced Angus Eaton as its new CEO, taking over from Dominic Clayden in July.
Angus will take up the role after more than four years as Group Chief Risk Officer at Hastings Group and brings a wealth of experience in a career spanning three decades, including 13 years in various leadership roles at Aviva. He has held executive positions in a wide range of business functions including commercial, legal, strategy and transformation and more recently risk and compliance.
Angus takes over from Dominic on 1 July. Dominic will stay on at MIB as a strategic advisor until the end of the year, working alongside Angus to ensure a smooth and effective transition.
Angus says: “I am delighted and privileged to be joining the MIB as their new CEO. The MIB has a pivotal role to play for its customers and in the insurance industry. My time on the Board, as a Non- Executive Director, has convinced me that the strong capabilities that Dominic and team have built will enable it to continue to successfully deliver for everyone it serves going forward. I am excited about getting started and working closely with MIB colleagues, members, Board and stakeholders to ensure that the MIB fulfils the valuable potential it offers.”
MIB Chair Mike Crane says: “It’s a great pleasure to announce Angus as the MIB’s new CEO. The MIB continues to play a critical role for the sector and I know Angus shares a strong passion for the purpose and values of the MIB. I am very much looking forward to working with Angus as he takes on the leadership of the organisation, and I know the Board are keen to ensure a smooth, effective transition for the leadership of the MIB.”
Angus takes over from Dominic, whose departure was announced in January, following six years leading the MIB.
