Reminder to MCE customers

Green Realisations 123 (formally MCE Insurance Company Ltd) has gone into administration.

If you purchased a policy from MCE Insurance (UK) on or before 5th November 2021, MCE will have written to you to let you know that your policy is being disclaimed (coming off cover).

This means if you have a motorcycle policy you will not have valid insurance from midnight 31 January 2022.  If you have a car or van policy you will not have had valid insurance from midnight 14 January 2022.

Anyone affected needs to arrange new cover as quickly as possible to ensure you remain insured and are not driving illegally.

We are aware that the administrators have urgently written to affected customers saying that they are entitled to a refund from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme https://www.fscs.org.uk/making-a-claim/failed-firms/mce-insurance/

MCE Insurance Ltd (UK) is a UK insurance Broker who remain trading and can provide insurance with a new insurance company.

The Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) has also written to all customers who appear to remain on the Motor Insurance Database as currently having insurance with MCE.
