We are aware that Alpha Insurance has been put into bankruptcy. Whilst we have limited information at the moment, we would recommend that anybody concerned about this consults the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the body in the UK which deals with authorised firms which can no longer fulfil their obligations. The FSCS has an announcement on its website and is monitoring the situation and should be able to provide more information in due course. We are aware that policyholders have been informed that their policies are no longer valid. We therefore recommend alternative insurance is sought as a matter of urgency.
