MIB unveil Herd About MK Cow with support of The Children’s Trust in celebration of MK’s 50th Birthday

The Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) has proudly unveiled its Herd About MK cow decorated with designs from The Children’s Trust in celebration of Milton Keynes’ 50th Birthday.
As a proud Milton Keynes employer for almost 20 years, MIB is delighted to be involved with the Herd About MK project and the cow will reside at MIB’s Linford Wood offices until late June before joining up with the rest of the herd for a number of special events across Milton Keynes throughout 2017.
The MIB cow has been decorated with designs printed by children supported by The Children’s Trust with whom MIB have a longstanding relationship. Over the past nine years MIB has donated over £100,000 to the Children’s Trust who provide care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children who suffer an acquired brain injury.
The cow has been adorned with handprints from the children, with their names featuring on a roll of honour on the base of the cow. Due to the nature of the children’s injuries the handprints were provided by the children and then stencilled onto the cow.
“We are delighted to be a part of Herd About MK and thrilled to have our cow, fully decorated, at our offices in Linford Wood,” said Ashton West, CEO of MIB.
“The Children’s Trust have done a fantastic job helping us to decorate the cow and it is brilliant to have such a strong symbol of our partnership on show in our offices. We are looking forward to seeing our cow out and about at various events this summer with the rest of the herd.”
“MIB has been a valued supporter of The Children's Trust since 2008 and we are delighted to have been involved in this exciting project,” said Jess Allchin, Fundraising Manager at The Children’s Trust. “Children at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, Surrey had a great time getting messy with paints and are looking forward to seeing their prints on the cow.”
