17/10/2016 - With Insurance Database Services Limited (IDSL) and MIB both operating in the insurance sector and the similarities and mutual interests held by the respective members, the Boards of IDSL and MIB have agreed to transfer the operations and functions of IDSL and MIB into one legal entity. The transfer of IDSL services into MIB comes into effect on 16 October 2016.
17/10/2016 - Operation Drive Insured, the first ever motor insurance enforcement awareness week, starts today (Monday, 17 October) and continues until Sunday, 23 October.
20/09/2016 - A new video released today, ‘Protection’, aims to improve public awareness that car insurance is a legal requirement. This is the second video released by MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau), a not-for-profit body, as part of its Gone in Seconds campaign (www.goneinseconds.org.uk).
10/08/2016 - On 22 July we communicated the fact that the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission had intervened in the operations of Enterprise Insurance Company PLC, which is now insolvent.
