Find out about our new partnership to help modernise our services, how to join MIB's Levy Group and IFB's collaborative work with the industry

March 2022

MIB reveals Wipro as new strategic partner to modernise our data services

We are delighted to share the news that we've appointed Wipro as our new strategic partner.

The year ahead for IFB

IFB's journey of evolution continues during 2022 with the development of a future strategy, the launch of a new fraud detection system and industry collaboration.

Your help needed to promote Cheatline

As a confidential and free service to the public, the Cheatline is a valuable tool that enables us to discover fraudulent insurance activity, reducing the financial impact to the industry and its customers.

Celebrating 10 years of fighting fraud with IFED

Since its inception the IFB has worked closely with the City of London Police's Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) to detect and disrupt fraud. As we join IFED in celebrating 10 years on the job, we're highlighting the impact the partnership has had.

Levy group volunteers needed

The Levy Group plays a valuable role in making recommendations to the MIB Board each year for the Levy and the apportionment methodology for the following year, reflecting an equitable distribution.

The Levy Group usually meets twice each year, in April and August. The Levy letter is then sent out to all members following Board approval in September.

We would like to encourage broader engagement from our members so please consider joining the group. Nominees from the finance and claims functions may be helpful but likewise we'd welcome a nomination from any of our members.

We would be delighted to welcome you to the Group and hear your views on the Levy and its calculation.
