Our services were never designed to meet the demands of today's rapidly changing insurance market; a world in which the demand for better digital experiences, insurance fraud, and the drive for organisations to be more efficient are accelerating.

For our members, these changes have created a need for high-quality data available instantly in real-time. Modern experiences that evolve as quickly as the world around us.

It's time to build the MIB services of the future

Together, we have developed the first part of the MIB Product Roadmap. This detailed strategy will inform the future scope of our services, how they are used and accessed, the technologies they rely on, and many other factors that will bring significant improvements for you and your customers.

After in-depth discussions with organisations across more than 70% of the insurance industry, in November 2020, we agreed to focus on modernising our services through a phased approach.

After months of discussion and refinement in response to your feedback, the MIB board has approved our strategy for modernising the MID and MIAFTR over the next few years.

On 28 June, we shared the proposals with senior leaders from across the insurance industry at our Executive Roundtable Event.

Based on your feedback, we'll then launch a tender process to find the long-term partnerships we need to build the modern, scalable solutions you want to see.
