MIB was founded around the belief that no one whose life has been changed by an uninsured driver should be left without the support they deserve.
Today, that has grown into a community of people and organisations tirelessly working together to make our roads safer, helping innocent victims of uninsured and hit-and-run drivers to rebuild their lives, and protecting people from insurance fraud.
After a period of substantial investment in modernising our organisation and evolving our culture, we'll focus on what matters to our members and customers while getting the best from the improvements we've already invested in. We'll continue to build a modern, dynamic workplace that attracts a diverse community of brilliant people. And we'll empower our people to mitigate potential risks while seizing the many opportunities ahead.

Together, we'll begin designing and building the future of the MID and MIAFTR. We'll launch a cutting-edge fraud detection solution to help the insurance industry stay ahead of today's ever-changing scams. And we'll continue to improve our communications channels, so more people understand our critical role for the insurance industry and society.
We'll continue to refine our claims services to deliver the modern and efficient experience our customers expect. We'll improve the data we rely on to inform the changes our members need. And as we continue to see the benefits of automation and more cost-effective ways of working, we'll further reduce our annual operating costs.
Nothing we have planned in 2022 can happen without the people who make it possible. It's why we've invested heavily in creating a culture that attracts and retains brilliant people. It's why diversity, collaboration, and an unequalled commitment to wellbeing remains at the centre of our strategy for MIB. In 2022, we'll continue to build on the progress we've made, introducing a new approach to development, identifying future leaders, and introducing many other changes designed to make MIB the place to be.
Now more than ever, it's vital that we balance potential risks against the need to continue innovating and driving our organisation forward. In the year ahead, we'll give our people the clarity and confidence to seize new opportunities while continuing to put the mitigation of a range of risks is at the heart of every decision we make. Whether that's anticipating threats to our finances, protecting our services from new security threats, or complying with the latest regulations.
