On 21 February 2024 the Navigate team welcomed the newly-formed Data Industry Working Group to our London office to kick-start the next phase of our Navigate programme. 

Hosted by Navigate Programme Director Matt Runnacles, Head of Market Insight and CRM Leonie Clues and Head of Data Dave Edwards we introduced members from across the industry who will work together on this crucial next step in our Navigate journey.

We're looking forward to working closely with the group and our wider membership in the months ahead on our shared purpose to improve data quality for the benefit of members, the public and our enforcement partners.  

We’re transforming our data services and replatforming MID (Motor Insurance Database) and MIAFTR (Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register) to Navigate this year.

Navigate will initially be the new home for MID and MIAFTR with a unified portal for customers, but it’s been built to accommodate our customers’ future data needs.  

Alongside our members, we'll work to build on the potential of this innovative, scalable foundation to incorporate new capabilities and services into Navigate to support the industry’s future needs. 

And we know that without high quality data the benefits of Navigate will not be maximised. So in 2024 we’ll work to improve data quality starting with MID and MIAFTR data and also explore options for the future of CUE.
