Meet Faran Johnson, our new Chief People Officer
16 November 2021
We are delighted to announce Faran will be joining us on 22 November.
In the last few years, under Jordan’s leadership, we’ve come a long way together and seen some of our most ambitious plans become a reality. We’ve created a community where everyone can succeed as their true self. Through the highs and lows of change and Covid-19, we made looking after our people and their families our top priority. And we’ve laid the foundations for a community where brilliant people work together to create the modern workplace of the future.
And so, as we continue our journey to transform our organisation, we need another exceptional leader to guide, inspire and empower us through the next chapter of our history.
Faran – over to you
“Most recently, I was Chief People Officer at the UK Health Security Agency, where I worked on the UK’s response to COVID-19, including NHS Test & Trace. I joined to help the organisation navigate the complex challenges that came with rapid growth and transformation.”
It’s something I’m extremely proud of
“I led the people function that employed over 50,000 people, working under intense media and political scrutiny during an unprecedent period in our nation’s history. Despite those pressures, I kept my focus on compassionate leadership and developing an organisation’s values and culture. I’m a firm believer in leading with integrity, authenticity, and respect for people and their development.”
I know a thing or two about change and transformation
“At Channel 4, I helped design and implement a ‘Digital First’ strategy and an approach to agile people and culture that was both progressive and sustainable. And, as the HR Director for the HM Courts and Tribunals Service, I led the people function for one of the largest digital transformation programmes in the world.”
I’m passionate about not-for-profits
“I was Managing Director of a social movement called Engage for Success, which promotes employee engagement and better ways of working that benefit individuals, teams, organisations, partners, communities, and the economy. I am also a non-Exec with the National Childbirth Trust.”
I can’t wait to get started
“I’ve been a big admirer of what MIB has achieved in its transformation journey in the last few years. And I can see the determination to keep moving forward to be most effective for the insurance industry, and best placed to provide vital support to the thousands of innocent people whose lives are changed by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers.”
I’m a mum of two and a full-time foodie
I live in London with my two children Alex and Sammy, and love cooking and enjoying great food.
